WE ARE AUGUST TEAM

Oh yes! August team started!
We painted our team room and I can say that for me is the most beautiful at school, good start! We are five volunteers, 4 girls and 1 boy, 4 Brazilians -Carol, Dani, Nara and Fábio, and 1 girl from South Korea - Ji Hye. The youngest is 21 years old and the oldest is 33. My name is Carol, single, 31 years, graduate in Public Relations and management projects. I worked in the education ministry in my city, Brasilia, the Brazil capital. And I choosed to come to this program for the same motive then my friends, make a difference. Everybody left family, jobs, friends, homes, to donate 1 year and a half for this cause, to help people in Africa, the poorest country in the world! And this make us feel good...
We are here in USA training in Campus California Teachers Group - CCTG to be able to work in the projects in Africa and fundraise the money to go there, it is not only for buy our tickets, pay visa, health insurance, support us there, but is a challenge, because is very difficult. Six months half time at school in Etna, a small city in the Northest CA, and half time fundraising in big cities. Then if we fundraise all the money in this 6 months we can go to Africa for 6 months our 1 year, and then come back to Camp Future at school for 2 months more, sharing our experience with the next volunteers in training at school.
So let´s go! We care Africa, and we are happy to be here and together...
